Japan has been always known for technology, and with the release of Logitec’s (that’s not a misprint, it really has no H ) Wi-fi phone, Japanese Skype users has now another phone to watch out for. This will only be released in Japan and will use either 802.11b or g to place its calls.
And like some Skype phones already out in the global market, this phone is equipped with Bluetooth technology enabling the user to use it as a handset for their computer. But what advantage one may gain from this feature is still unclear. The release of this new Wi-fi phone shows again how much VoIP technology has grown with the passing of time. While these phones released today may have the same features, companies are already working on how to produce phones much much better than this one. This tech revolution could only be good for the ever growing global consumer public.
